National Cathedral School

2021–22 Annual Fund Campaign

When the National Cathedral School told us they were going to resume in-person learning in the fall of 2021, they asked us to create a campaign for their annual fund that would help bring people together after more than a year of online learning and working from home. The pandemic made it challenging for them to maintain the deep, meaningful ties within the NCS community.

 

“We have always engaged with intention, offering gifts to one another to broaden our community and grow together. We want to focus on that sense of ‘authentic connection’ that we lost during the pandemic,” they told us.

 

We began by naming the campaign: “Powered by Connection.” This reflects the way that the support of alumni, parents, and friends intensifies relationships and helps create a robust community — lasting well into the future. 

 

“With just two months to go before the campaign closes, we are ahead of our target to reach our goal of $2.2M,” our client informed us.

 

The direct mail brochure, postcard, emails, posters for in-person events, and advertisements that we wrote and designed highlighted the life-changing bonds and the enduring strength that belonging to a special community can bring — reminding donors they have an amazing capacity to impact students’ lives well beyond their school experience at NCS.
