Everyone loves a really good story. Even though it may seem to be a complex task and considerable work, it is definitely worth the effort to craft a compelling tale. For this client, it helped increase fundraising by 6% more than the previous year.

New Israel Fund Annual Report

In the current annual report for the New Israel Fund, each of their success stories jumps off the page with a commanding, one-line opener and a larger-than-life picture that immediately communicates the organization’s passion for the cause.

The ensuing pages for each practice area tell a brief story of what happened in the field, the social, economic or political context for funding their initiatives, what our client did to ensure their efforts were effective, and the role that their grantees played in the initiative’s overall success.

And finally, after each story, we included a synopsis of other achievements and a list of grantees in the practice area related to the story.

This approach to annual reporting is very different than simply summarizing achievements of the organization, which is the traditional way to communicate with donors.

“This was a game-changer for communicating with donors. Everyone loves the new, livelier, more informative format of the Annual Report. You asked the right questions to create exactly the product we needed.”
